Greg Adams made a career in distressed assets and investments with over 30 years of banking, finance and investment experience. His experience includes executive management positions with Bank of America, AMRESCO and Lend Lease Corporation with the last 20 years focused exclusively in asset management, advisory and distressed/special situation investments. Most recently, Greg was the CEO of Asia- based special situation investments for Lend Lease Corporation and the International Distressed Debt Fund. In this role, Greg was responsible for investment management in Japan, Korea, Taiwan and Thailand in addition to directing the firm’s $350 million in fixed income & equity investment strategies in Asia. These strategies included joint investment initiatives with Citibank, Merrill Lynch, Cargill, Deutsche Bank and other major investment banks and institutional investment clients.
Prior to this, Greg was the Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of AMRESCO Asset Management, Inc. an international investment, asset management and special servicing company with over $5 billion in assets under management. In his role with AMRESCO, Mr. Adams had responsibility for the company’s principal and joint distressed asset investment strategy and management platforms for North America and joint operating and investment ventures with CIBC and Goldman Sachs in Canada, BBVA in Mexico, LG Securities, Merrill Lynch and Citibank in Korea and the CP Group in Thailand. Prior to joining the executive ranks at AMRESCO, Greg served in various senior management positions with Bank of America and its predecessor banks. During his tenure with Bank of America, Greg led special situation and advisory teams with direct responsibility of over $3.5 billion in distressed portfolio holdings on behalf major government, private and public clients.
For family reasons, Greg retired from Lend Lease in 2005 and has since been involved in the management of family and personal private equity and real estate portfolio investments, and consulting with small business owners in the development of improved balance sheet, P&L and tax strategies. Greg pursued his undergraduate degree in Public Administration and graduate level studies in Public Policy and Urban Development at the University of Arizona.
Greg’s decision to join his former colleagues in building the Infinity Special Situations Group was based entirely on the team’s collective record of experience, ability to work well together and capacity to add value for clients within distressed asset classes and environments.
